Otherwise DSL in conjunction with the VoIP telephone connection. Once you have decided to sign a contract with a provider, the problems begin. Broadband connection
As of 06.2024, an FTTH connection with up to 1000 m/bits is available for 27% of the German population (source broadband atlas). The white spots have virtually disappeared, but they still exist. The majority of Germans now have at least 50 m/bits available. The expansion standard is continuously increasing. Telekom switched off all existing ISDN connections at the end of 2020. Some competitors still had ISDN connections until the beginning of 2023, but these have now also disappeared. The telephone exchanges have all been converted to IP. In addition to some local providers, the broadband pie is largely shared by Telekom and its resellers, cable network operators and mobile network operators, which we are deliberately excluding here. The TDSL resellers use the TDSL network of DTAG. Other telephone companies are also represented on the broadband market with their own networks. Local providers also market VoIP telephone connections together with the broadband connection offered. As you can imagine, there are a whole host of fibre optic / DSL offers on the market, which can very quickly become confusing for the inexperienced user.
That's why we determine the optimum solution for you and help you to get the connection you want. However, if you already know your desired provider with the corresponding desired tariff, we will be happy to support you in ordering and commissioning the connection.
VoIP connections
In addition to broadband connections, telephony via these is also being used to an ever greater extent by german citizens. VoIP, also known as IP telephony, has outgrown its infancy and has now replaced the conventional landline network. For this reason, VoIP connections are largely marketed together with broadband connections in today's marketing strategy.
Quality cuts are no longer recognisable due to today's standard bandwidths.
Calls can be set up to any telephone connection, and mobile networks and special numbers can also be reached without any problems. The costs for hardware such as IP telephones and IP telephone systems and adapters have also fallen significantly and are therefore affordable. At the conclusion of a broadband connection with a telephone line, the appropriate VoIP router is usually already included in the package or can be purchased at special conditions.
But even when choosing the right combination of broadband and VoIP telephone connection, unexperienced users are often overwhelmed. Here too, money can be saved with the right configuration.
